New Minister for Foreign Affairs
A new Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ossur Skarphedinsson, took office yesterday, replacing Mrs. Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, who had held the position since 24 May 2007. Minister Skarphedinsson will continue to serve as Minister of Industry, a position he has held since 24 May 2007.
